The town even had its own minor league baseball team, the Bartlett Bearcats, and future Baseball Hall of Fame member Ross Youngs once played for the team in 1915.

The Bartlett Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, with the main street still showing off its early 1900s commercial buildings.
